I received the order for this commission from ~Escafanatic421 ages ago, nearly a year, and I've finally finished it this morning! I was mostly delayed by the insane hours I deal with when school is in but I also underestimated how much work would go into the character design. I was given ample written description and several reference images but there remained a lot of design elements for me to work out in the initial stages of the drawing. Once I had gotten their design worked out, it still left me with a lot of detail to color!

The characters depicted here belong to ~Escafanatic421 and are from left to right: Kultheathaklo, a Goliath paladin, and Masque Crevan, a Tiefling bard. Masque fancies Kul, who is quite oblivious to his friend's feelings. I had some fun with a bit of subliminal messaging regarding that situation ^^

Even though this drawing took me way longer than anticipated, I had a lot of fun designing their outfits and executing my ideas. As usual, I started getting really excited about the coloring once I reached the final furlongs! I'm especially pleased with Kul ^___^

Sakura Pigma Micron pen, Copic art marker, and Sakura Gelly Roll gel pen on 8.5x11" Aquabee manga paper.

Turned out fantastic. Thank you so much! ^___^ Sean got it to me at work today and it looks even better on paper. The coloring turned out amazing and your detail is one I've rarely seen rivaled and I've been commissioning people for a long time. Definitely worth the wait and I will treasure this for a long, long time to come. Thank you again ^_____^

I can't say how pleased I am that you like it ^^ I wish it wouldn't have taken so long, but I think it benefited greatly by not being rushed! I was able to add a lot of detail that a shorter deadline wouldn't have permitted. I've also never so deeply been a part of designing the look of a character. I know it wasn't all me, of course, but coming up with armor and hairstyles, it was a very educational experience! Thank you so much for giving me that opportunity :D

I'm glad to hear that it was a good experience for both of us ^^ I've shown it to a few of my friends who know the characters and they are very impressed with it. I'm not sure if we'll ever work on a project together again but if not I had a lot of fun with this one.
