I drew this to let out some frustration the other day, but when my dad came home he told me that I should send it to my Oma as one of the commissions. I figure my dad knows his mom better than I do, so away it will go! This mutha is freaking huge, 18x24 inches, so I had to scan it in five parts, and I made up the rest of the background with the clone tool on Photoshop ^^ I figure it doesn't have to look perfect for the online version, since it's just for show.

I like wolves...

The highlights on his neck are really sharp, they turned out great. I'm not such a big fan of the overall composition though. It's just too plain and boring. His face flattens out a bit too much and your value range sort of muddles in the the middle on the throat. Even going in with your eraser or some white conte to get some subtle highlights in would help out there. Try to work the great 3-d feel you have happening on the back of his neck throughout the whole piece.

And I love the blending *___* and the dark circle around the eye. And I reeally like how you left the eye totally white, it makes it look even more terrifying

Yeah, I'm kind of sad to give it away...it's a piece with a lot of feelings in it =\ But I can always do another one ^^ Do you know how fun it is to cover a whole sheet of white paper with charcoal until it is completely black?
